The Contributor user type enables data quality engineers, GIS technicians, and data entry clerks to review and edit data in their ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise organisation.
This user type has access to all capabilities included with the Viewer user type as well as the ability to apply simple edits and annotate maps. Determine if this is the right user type for you first, then follow thesteps here to activate it for your organisation.
What can I do with the Contributor user type?

Review and apply simple edits
Modify data in maps and apps that are created by others in your organisation to improve accuracy and provide current authoritative information.
Collaborate with team members
View, explore, and mark up maps and content to communicate spatial awareness.
Leverage enterprise integrations
Work seamlessly with enterprise systems such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Power Automate or integrate spatial data with Autodesk BIM and CAD data.
