"The real power of ArcGIS isn’t just in the platform; it’s in the people who know how to use it."

The real game-changer is our people, specifically, a team that’s confident using the tools, solving problems, and building better outcomes with spatial thinking.

Having worked with teams across Australia, one thing has been abundantly clear; ongoing training is what keeps an ArcGIS investment delivering value long after go-live. Whether you're navigating platform changes, improving workflows, or building long-term capability, training ensures your people are ready to turn technology into impact.

Why does training matter?

The ArcGIS platform doesn’t stand still. We are often in flux, migrating from retired standards (e.g. ArcMap) to ArcGIS Pro, and new tools and capabilities are being added all the time. If our team’s skills don’t keep up, we’ll risk missing out on the efficiency, insights, and innovation the tech can offer.

Here’s what we see every day:

  • Trained users work faster – and they're more likely to get things right the first time.

  • They spot smarter ways to work – training sparks ideas that lead to better workflows.

  • They stick around – when people feel they’re learning and growing, they’re more likely to stay.

Investing in your team’s skills is one of the most effective ways to maximise your ArcGIS investment.

What’s the best way to train?

There’s plenty of free content online, videos, blogs, and forums. However, I thoroughly endorse exploring our learning pathways. These are self-paced learning pathways are designed to guide skill development step-by-step, based on our user-type. They allow us to learn at our own pace while building solid, foundational GIS skillsets.

That said, instructor-led training still plays a crucial role. Attending a course provides structured content, guidance from certified trainers, and the chance to connect and share experiences with others in the same boat.

That’s where we come in

Our team helps organisations design training plans that work—from one-off upskilling to long-term capability-building. It's all about matching the right training to the right people at the right time.

I learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed this Building Web Apps with ArcGIS Experience Builder course. It was well designed, combining presentation slides with practical exercises. The trainers were very knowledgeable, attentive to all our queries, and happy to demonstrate functionalities tailored to our needs, making it easy to follow along effortlessly.
