Esri's Spatial Statistics Lead, Linda Peters is a long-standing member of the global geospatial community, having built her expertise consulting with governments, communities and agencies.

Linda works with National Statistical Offices around the world to apply geospatial analysis to census and other data-intensive activities. With a background in GIS, cartography, market research and systems development, Linda is recognised as one of the most innovative advisors in applying GIS and spatial analysis to business problems. 

Linda is a member of the United Nation’s Expert Group on the Integration of Statistical and Geospatial Information, as well as the UN Sustainable Development, Big Data and National Reporting Platforms working groups.

Having authored “The Location Advantage” Massive Open Online Curriculum (MOOC) course in 2014 and co-authored the Esri Press book “GIS and the 2020 Census: Modernizing Official Statistics” – Peters aims to inform the masses, focused on smarter governments and a stronger global economy.
