Katherine's career in spatial industry spans nearly 15 years after graduating from Canterbury University (NZ) with first-class honours. Katherine started working with Transpower, the NZ national electricity body, and in 2008, relocated to Australia and worked with the likes of AECOM, Worley Parsons and BMA. One of her significant projects during this time included providing inputs for the official publication of the Dubai Urban Master Plan for 2020.
Katherine is currently the lead GIS at Thiess Mining and coordinates the provision of systems and procedures across the globe. This includes managing and driving the modernisation and integration of systems through GIS to support around 30 Thiess operations and tenders.
