Gert van Maren is a passionate and innovative 3D GIS specialist with 20 years of industry experience, ranging from application development to product management, to strategic planning, to communication with executive management, customers, partners and distributors.
After developing the K2Vi 3D&VR platform in New Zealand, he moved to the USA to become product management lead for 3D at Esri Inc in Redlands. Being involved in the acquisition of Procedural, makers of CityEngine brought the opportunity to work at the Esri R&D centre in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2015 he moved back to New Zealand to focus on building 3D GIS solutions on top of the Esri platform together with the Esri solutions group.
