The Challenge
Partnering with Esri Australia, Brisbane City Council and Griffith University, this year-long challenge invites schools to identify local environmental concerns related to biospheric sustainable development goals (SDGs) and develop innovative, STEM-based solutions using GIS technology.
What You'll Do
- Form a team of 3 to 6 students (year 10-12) and at least one teacher
- Identify a local environmental issue that is impacting your community
- Use ArcGIS tools to create a case study and present via StoryMaps

Final Submission Deadline: October 2025
Awards Ceremony: October 2025 (presented by the Mayor of Brisbane)
