Esri Australia industry partners
As an active member of the local GIS and location-based analytics industry for almost 40 years, Esri Australia works closely with key industry partners to promote the growth and development of the geospatial sector across the country.
Partnerships with two of the most respected industry bodies – SIBA (Spatial Industries Business Association) and SSSI (Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute) – provide us with the opportunity to drive the sector forward and build a deeper understanding of the potential of GIS across the broader Australian business and government communities.
Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) is the not-for-profit national peak body representing and supporting the largest membership of surveying and spatial science professionals in Australia and New Zealand.
SSSI represents professionals in land surveying, spatial information and cartography, remote sensing and photogrammetry, hydrographic surveying, engineering and mining surveying, and special interest groups including Women in Spatial and Young Professionals.
To keep members updated with all things spatial, SSSI runs over 200 events per year, including seminars, workshops, conferences, networking, social events and webinars.

The Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA) is the leading association representing the spatial industry in Australia. SIBA works closely with government and the education sector to build a more innovative, entrepreneurial and prosperous nation.
SIBA members work for a wide range of businesses across remote sensing, surveying, mapping, GIS software and services, GPS technologies and systems, location intelligence systems and services, and 3D visualisation.
By advocating for its members with government and regulatory bodies, SIBA actively promotes innovation and technological advancements in spatial businesses.
