Path to Employment
At Esri Australia we are a values-driven organisation, intent on attracting and retaining individuals who share our passion for GIS and our unwavering commitment to professional excellence.
Our recruitment and selection process has been designed to enable us to learn more of our prospective team members and to ensure the cultural fit is right for both parties.
Listed below is the typical process undertaken by our recruitment team.
Step 1 – Submit an application
You are invited to: review our current list of vacancies; make your selection; and complete an online application.
Step 2 – Application assessment
Our Human Resources team, in conjunction with the hiring manager, will then review all applications that meet the advertised role’s specific selection criteria and create a short list of candidates for interview.
Notification of the outcome of the assessment process will be provided within 28 days of the application closing date.
Step 3 – Interviews
Shortlisted applicants are then invited to attend an interview with the hiring manager.
In some instances an initial interview is undertaken to identify two to three suitable candidates and then a subsequent interview is conducted to finalise the selection process.
Step 4 – Reference checks
Reference checks are conducted on preferred candidate to ensure compatibility.
Step 5 – Final selection
Our Human Resources team reconvenes with the hiring manager to review all information collected throughout the application, interview and reference check phases. If there are no inconsistencies or concerns – an appointment is made.
Step 6 – Offer of employment
The successful applicant will be provided with a verbal offer of employment. Upon acceptance of the offer, a written employment contract is forwarded within three working days.
Step 7 - Induction
To ensure a smooth transition into their role, all new team members are welcomed into the organisation through a customised and comprehensive on-boarding induction program.
If you would like to enquire about opportunities or require any assistance with your application, please do not hesitate to contact our Human Resources Team on phone: 1800 447 111 (within Australia); +617 3218 4137 (international) or send us an email.
